Justin Schuda

Bio:

  • - Coach Justin Schuda grew up in Southern California, and was drafted as a catcher, in the 27th round, by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, straight out of Murrieta Valley High School.
  • - Coach Schuda played for (4) years in the D-Rays' minor league system. In 2001, he hit (25) home runs and finished 3rd in the South Atlantic League.
  • - He was named player of the year for the Charleston Riverdogs, (A.) In 2005, he hit (26) homeruns to lead the independent Frontier League and finished in the top 5 in RBIs, (79,) tying the league record with (9) RBIs in a single game, and he also finished in the top 5 for slugging percentage, (.597,) all while playing in only (79) games. During the same year, Coach Schuda was named the Windy City Thunderbolts' MVP. He spent 2006 Spring Training with the Kansas City Royals, and returned home to Southern California after a half season in the American Association in Sioux Falls, S.D. due to a shoulder injury that same year.
  • - He has since gained experience coaching the J.V. baseball teams at both Dana Hills High School, and now serves as Assistant Varsity Coach at Capo Valley Christian High School.
  • - Justin's goals are to utilize his experience and knowledge he's gained from years in pro ball, to help the players of the Cal Knights reach their maximum potential as ball players, and be a responsible person on and off the field.
  • - Justin currently lives in Las Flores with his wife, Erin, and his lovely baby daughter, Rilan.
