- Coach Matt Falk attended Dana Hills High School where he was a 3 year varsity letterman.

- He was part of the 2002 South Coast League Championship team, and also Valedictorian of his high school class.

- Drafted as a third baseman in the 38th round of the 2002 draft by the World Champion Arizona Diamondbacks, Coach Falk opted to attend UC Irvine on a full athletic scholarship, and was a starting first baseman as a true freshman. After two seasons, he transferred to the University of San Diego, where he was a two-level standout; as a Designated Hitter and a Closer, (He is a record holder for most saves in a season.)

- After college, Coach Falk was drafted in the 28th round of the 2005 draft by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, as a pitcher. He signed with the Rays and played 3 seasons in their minor league system, retaining a 9 win, 6 loss minor league career.

- He was a member of the South Atlantic League Championship team in 2007, (A ball,) putting up a 3-0 record.

- Coach Falk is currently a member of the Gateway Grizzlies of the Frontier League, but enjoys coaching because it gives him an opportunity to share his experiences and knowledge with kids. He believes it is important that children be taught the correct fundamentals of baseball so that they may have a solid foundation on which to build for years to come. Coach Falk's goal is to send out a competitive team that fully understands every aspect of the game and still incorporates having fun every time they take the field.
