Clemente Bonilla, Jr. "Chache""

Coach "Chache" Bonilla comes to us, on the off-season, having played this past season with the Fullerton Flyers in the Golden Baseball League. His plan for these young players is to prepare them to play at a higher level, (high school/college,) and to show them what to expect in professional baseball as well; to keep that dream alive. He also wants to show them how to have "a whole bunch of fun!!!"

  • - He grew up right here in Mission Viejo, and was a 4 year varsity player for El Toro High School from 1994 - 1998.

  • - He attended Southeast Missouri State on scholarship, where he was a Secondary Education Major. He was named NCAA, Division 1, All-American in 2001.

  • - Upon graduation in 2002, Coach Bonilla signed with the Cincinnati Reds and played within their organization for two seasons.

  • - He played in the California League, (High A,) and was then signed by the Baltimore Orioles in 2004, playing in the Eastern League, (AA.)

  • - In his young career, Coach Bonilla has signed and played in three independent minor leagues, Northern League, Frontier League, and, last season, the Golden Baseball League.

  • - Currently "Chache" is the Athletic Director and Head Varsity Baseball Coach at Capo Valley Christian High School in San Juan Capistrano.
